The Junior Vessels Operations Administrator will be responsible for coordination and supporting of tasks related to the regions vessel’s operations function, imports, exports, administration and compliance related activities to ensure smooth implementation.

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

  1. Vessel operations coordination: Drive effective processes in regard to vessel operations import/export while, optimizing cost performance and maintain regulatory compliance
  2. Supply chain optimization:  Support the implementation of cost-effective supply strategies to reduce storage and handling costs while improving distribution efficiency
  3. Regulatory compliance and risk coordination: Support in compliance with agricultural regulations and minimize operational risks through proactive risk implementation
  4. Customer relationship coordination: Support in maintaining strong relationships that support business growth and customer retention.
  5. Port Loading/ discharge coordination support: Support in optimizing transport costs assisting in the efficient coordination of logistics from loading to final delivery.
  6. Technology and Systems Coordination: Support maintain operation efficiency through effective technology and related processes.

 

Minimum Criteria:

  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Materials, Transport and Supply Chain Management/ Related Qualification (HET)

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in the Grain Agriculture Industry.
  • Understanding and experience - Execution from Silo’s/farms, Transport modes, specifically Road & Rail.
  • Experience in Sales and Purchase Contracts, Incoterms and Payment Terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy required
  • Good Microsoft Excel and data processing skill
  • Basic knowledge of international trade regulations
  • Financial background with competency in debtors and creditors

General

Reports to Vessel Operations and Compliance Officer.

Salary is market related basic salary with provident fund and medical aid benefits.
