Vacancy: Grain Grader
Location: Brinelda Heilbron, Freestate
Department: Depots & Warehousing
Job purpose:
To ensure the accurate grading and classification of grain and to complete all associated administrative functions. The role may require the performance of additional duties as needed to support business operations.
Key Performance Areas
· Grain Quality Management
o Accurate grading and weighing of all grain at intake and dispatch
o Maintain grading standards and certification compliance
· Equipment and Facility Management
o Ensure all grading/weighing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operational
o Conduct daily depot inspections and pest/weed control
· Team Supervision
o Manage and coordinate sample takers and grading staff
o Provide guidance and ensure team productivity
· Compliance and Record Keeping
o Maintain accurate PPECB records, timesheets, and safety documentation
o Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations
· Reporting and Administration
o Submit accurate daily intake/dispatch reports to Head Office
o Complete general administrative and depot duties timeously
Minimum criteria
· Matric senior certificate
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in grain grading
· Minimum 2 years' administrative experience in agricultural/depot environment
· Grain grading certification (maize, sunflower, soybean, wheat)
Skills, Knowledge and experience required

· Understanding of grain quality standards and grading protocols
· Knowledge of PPECB compliance requirements

· Fumigation procedures (PCO certification)
