COFCO International South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to oversee the financial functions within our Corporate Control division. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, while supporting the best practices in accounting and financial management across all operations.

Minimum qualifications and experience

Relevant Qualification, Studying towards CIMA, CA, ACCA

4 Years relevant experience in a similar role

2 years’ experience in a leadership/people management role

Main responsibilities (key performance indicators)

Financial month end reporting and reviews, including revaluation & translation
Selling, General and Admin (SGA), including payroll journals, annual budget
Internal & External Audit
Fixed assets, including insurance, annual CAPEX budget, lease accounting
Team management, training
VAT review, submissions
Systems & automation
Risk Management, SOPs
Other: payment & journal approvals, hedging instructions, broker & bank recons, treasury cash & dept reporting
Back up to Reporting Controller
