Senior Palm Oil Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Trading Leadership

• Formulate import procurement strategies according to the demand for palm oil and lauric acid oil from Chinese factories, be responsible for executing procurement tasks, and coordinate contract execution.
• Connect with soybean oil export business of Chinese factories, develop soybean oil sales business in third-party markets, and overall manage related contract execution. Any soybean oil related business discussions must be fully coordinated with Head of Soybean oil at CIL.
• Collect and analyze relevant market supply and demand information of vegetable oils to provide reference for the company's business decisions

• Work closely with corporate leadership on palm oil strategy, with corporate sustainability of all aspects required.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, customers, financial institutions, and industry bodies.

• Forecast price trends and analyze market conditions to optimize buying and selling decisions.
• Closely collaborate with the other Vegoil teams and vegoil research to foster global and regional discussions and identify potential vegoil demand switches as early as possible.

Active participation and contribution to the Supply and Demand discussions of Vegoils/Oilseeds

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree or above, with a background in international business or financial trading.
• More than 3 years of working experience in the oil and oilseeds industry, with experience in palm oil futures and spot trading, and in-depth understanding of global and Chinese palm oil supply and demand as well as the industry.

• High degree of integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities under uncertainty and pressure.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
