We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist / Senior HR Generalist to join our APAC HR team on a 1‑year contract. This is a hands‑on, operations-focused role supporting a hybrid payroll model, where some markets are processed in‑house and others through outsourced payroll vendors.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean team, has excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working across multiple time zones.

What You’ll Do

Payroll & Compliance

  • Perform hands‑on, end‑to‑end payroll processing for the assigned markets/countries.

  • Review and reconcile payroll inputs/outputs to ensure accuracy and statutory compliance.
  • Monitor regulatory updates across APAC labour markets.
  • Conduct regular payroll checks, compliance reviews, and support audits.
  • Support payroll cut-offs, data submissions, and time‑sensitive deliverables across time zones.

People Services

  • Manage HR life‑cycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits, and HRIS updates for the assigned markets.
  • Maintain data accuracy across HR systems and support reporting and compliance needs.
  • Respond to HR and payroll inquiries across APAC promptly and professionally.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and cross‑functional teams.

Lean Team Collaboration

  • Work autonomously within a lean HR team, managing multiple workstreams end‑to‑end.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, strong problem‑solving, and resourcefulness in a fast‑paced environment.

Regional HR Projects

  • Support or lead project initiatives such as policies review, annual review cycles, audits, process improvements, and engagement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve employee experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years of Payroll / HR generalist or HR operations experience.
  • Good to have:
    • Hands‑on experience processing Australian payroll
    • Knowledge of Australia's Fair Work Act, NES, and Award interpretation
  • Experience managing both in‑house and outsourced payroll models for the assigned countries within APAC.
  • Willingness to take on selected APAC markets and adapt to local requirements.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across multiple time zones.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors; ADP Payline is an advantage).
  • Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and stakeholder management.

Desired Traits

  • Organised, detail‑oriented, and reliable
  • Proactive and solutions-focused
  • Thrives in a dynamic, regional HR environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
