Role Objective
The intern will support the Front Office and Middle Office teams in the operations, and execution of trade transactions. This includes assisting in the management of daily MtM, margining, and system input of trades. This may include automation of operations processes through the use of SQl or Python Coding.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transactional & Analytical Support
Assist in monitoring and maintaining cash flow projections and validation of derivatives trades.
Support operations team in the review and filing of trades including regular review and preparation of reports.
Help Business Controlling to prepare monthly MBOR and monitoring of transaction-specific KPIs and profitability metrics.
2. Risk & Compliance (KYC)
Assist Onboarding and KYC (Know Your Customer) desk to process KYC documentation, including gathering due diligence documents and performing AML (Anti-Money Laundering) screenings.
Review transaction and operational documents to ensure they align internal trade parameters and ensure if matches the foreign exchange that is executed.
3. Documentation & Execution
Learn to review and draft terms for Letters of Credit (LCs) and the presentation of documentations to Banks.
Help Business Unit Managers to prepare and review term sheets and preparation of management reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science).
Knowledge Base: * Foundational understanding of Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF).Basic knowledge of how international trade works (shipping, logistics, and payments).
Soft Skills:
Meticulousness: In trade finance, and financial analysis.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
Communication: Clear verbal and written English (additional languages like Mandarin, French, or Spanish are often highly valued depending on the region)
