Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations Brazil

Responsible for leading and defining the IT Infrastructure strategy across COFCO's operations in Brazil, ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of all technology environments supporting offices, industrial plants, silos, warehouses, and port operations. The role also provides governance over IT asset lifecycle, end-user technology services, and standardized operational processes across Brazil, ensuring accurate inventory, audit readiness, cost control, and consistent service delivery throughout geographically distributed locations. The Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations Brazil role acts as a key business partner, guaranteeing operational continuity, driving infrastructure modernization initiatives, and ensuring alignment with corporate standards and business growth objectives.

Description of Activities                                                                        

  • Lead the corporate IT Infrastructure function for all COFCO locations, including offices, factories, silos, warehouses, and port facilities.
  • Define and execute infrastructure strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of network, server, storage, cloud, telecommunications, and end-user computing environments.
  • Manage infrastructure operations, service delivery, monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Oversee data center, cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and connectivity services across distributed locations.
  • Drive initiatives related to infrastructure modernization, automation, digital transformation, and cybersecurity enhancement.
  • Coordinate third-party service providers, telecommunications vendors, infrastructure partners, and outsourcing contracts.
  • Establish and monitor service levels (SLAs), operational KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Support critical operational environments within manufacturing, logistics, storage, and port operations, ensuring business continuity.
  • Partner with Global IT teams to ensure compliance with corporate architecture, security policies, and governance standards.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor infrastructure teams, fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture.
  • Participate in strategic projects, acquisitions, integrations, and expansion plans involving infrastructure services.
  • Own IT Asset Management governance across Brazil, including asset registration, assignment, transfer, return, reuse, physical inventory, reconciliation, write-off, disposal, and audit evidence.
  • Ensure data quality and process compliance in ServiceNow for infrastructure and end-user assets, including stockroom controls, lifecycle status and ownership records.
  • Oversee end-user technology operations, including laptops, mobile devices, onboarding, offboarding, equipment replacement, secure reuse, logistics, and support processes across all locations.
  • Plan and control regional IT Infrastructure CAPEX and OPEX budgets, including forecasting, investment prioritization, procurement alignment, contract review, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate infrastructure requirements for new sites, expansions, relocations, acquisitions, and business integrations, ensuring timely deployment and alignment with global standards.

Requirements for position

 

 

Graduation:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.

 

Experience:

  • Large xperience in IT Infrastructure, including leadership positions managing geographically distributed operations, preferably supporting industrial, logistics, warehouse, agricultural, or port environments.

 

Languages:

  • Advanced/Fluent English (mandatory);
  • Advanced/Fluent Portuguese (mandatory); 
    Spanish is desirable.

  • Enterprise Infrastructure, Cloud Computing (Azure/AWS), Network Architecture, Cybersecurity, Microsoft Technologies, Virtualization, Storage, Backup & Recovery, ITSM, Service Management, Telecommunications, Data Centers, Monitoring Solutions, Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Governance.
