Internal Audit Specialist

COFCO International is seeking Internal Auditor Specialist based in Sao Paulo. The Brazil audit team is responsible for conducting audits in primarily in Brazil and Colombia, however it may also support audits in other global regions.

The Internal Auditor Specialist will assist the Internal Audit Manager and the wider Internal Audit team in providing independent, and objective assurance designed to determine if the internal controls are effective in mitigating inherent risks and provide consulting services to improve the operations of the company.

This individual will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, judgement, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Other responsibilities include:

• Effectively organize and conduct periodic audits of operational and financial areas in accordance with approved Annual Audit Plan.
• Interacts with senior and mid-level management of COFCO International (CIL).
• Help determine whether the Company’s risk management systems, control and governance processes are adequate and functioning in manner commensurate with size of the company’s operations.
• Identify opportunities for control improvements and develop mitigation and improvement plans.
• Document work performed and draft report.
• Discharges responsibilities in a manner consistent with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Code of Ethics, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Statement of Responsibilities.
