Infrastructure Specialist (Wintel, Citrix)

UPDS (Wintel) positions manage the different platforms that conform the list of basic services (users, emails, collab tools, etc), as well as the baseline of services which the rest of applications and integrations require to function.

The Senior Wintel L2/3 Support Engineer will be responsible for providing administration and support for systems within the on-premises and Cloud environments; contributing to and adhering to established policies and procedures. Will also work with the IT Services Leadership Team and IT Operations Managers to provide technical recommendations for these environments.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Participate in corporate and asset infrastructure related projects as assigned
  • Proactively seek out infrastructure optimization opportunities 
  • Support backup and recovery solutions for on-premises and cloud services
  • Coordinate and assist in developing system requirements
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert for managed services and technologies
  • Depoy, support and manage Citrix on-premises and cloud
  • Provide administration and support for servers in both on-premises and Cloud environments 
  • Install, configure, and maintain the Cloud and on-premises infrastructure including hosting, Asset management, data center, Cloud operations and Cloud migrations and assist other support teams in troubleshooting issues
  • Support application teams by installing, maintaining, administering, and managing servers
  • Document processes, procedures, upgrades, and problems
  • Document and maintain information relative to the supported systems and participate in knowledge sharing sessions
  • Perform account administration, file security, resource allocation and security for the systems, hosted in both the on-premises and Cloud environments
  • Use the company ITSM tool to coordinate support activities for all incidents and service requests
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain powershell automation for daily tasking, provisioning and common areas
  • Administration of Microsoft collaboration tools
  • Support and manage security in both, on-premises, and cloud environments (Antivirus, antispam)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

Requirements                                                                                 

 

Graduation:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent technical education

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent technical education
  • Experience in support and administration of Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 Server environments
  • Experience in support of Citrix environments (Cloud and on-premises)
  • Experience in AD domains and forests
  • Experience in Microsoft on-premises and cloud-based solutions and tools

 

Languages:

  • Portuguese (advanced)
  • English (advanced)

 

IT Knowledges:

  • Microsoft services
  • Citrix
  • Security-related (Antivirus, Windows Firewall)

 

Technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent technical education
  • Experience in support and administration of Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 Server environments
  • Experience in support of Citrix environments (Cloud and on-premises)
  • Experience in AD domains and forests
  • Experience in Microsoft on-premises and cloud-based solutions and tools
