Operations Assistant

Job Purpose : 

Trade contract management, domestic/export execution

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate, liaise and coordinate with Ginners, Logistic service providers, Warehouses, Quality Classing Service Providers to execute and process domestic and export contracts on time including but not limited to managing shipments, ticketing, invoicing, cost accrual creation and matching of cotton movements and miscellaneous costs, settle purchases and sales, filing, settlement and all other related activities
  • Contract/stock/shipment/logistics management and reporting
  • Support trade desk on contract entry, verification, review, update and filing 
  • Support trade desk on freight management, filing, execution
  • Seek and provide solution to improve efficiency of contract execution and supply chain operations 
  • Provide support and back up when required. 
  • Any other duties as required. 

 

Education 

Bachelor's degree, Agriculture preferred 

 

Experience 

  • Understanding of the Australian Container Handling Industry (preferred)
  • Logistics, operations, supply chain related tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an office and team environment

 

Skills and Attributes 

  • Highly computer literate including competent Office softwares (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to operate different Inventory and Invoice management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills both in writing and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills 
  • Able to work on their own initiative under pressure and in a methodical, detailed and accurate fashion
  • Ability to prioritise workload and well organised
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, innovating approach to work
