Treasury Accounting Analyst

Job purpose

 

The Treasury and Accounting Analyst will be responsible for managing the organization’s liquidity, cash flow, and financial transactions. This includes analyzing cash positions, managing banking relationships, and ensuring the effective and efficient use of the company’s funds. The Treasury and Accounting Analyst will also assist in short-term forecasting, risk management and controlling activities.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Cash Management: Monitor and analyze daily cash balances, identify cash requirements, and recommend short-term investment strategies.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Bank Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, ensuring smooth transaction processes and favorable terms.
  • Risk Management: Help identify financial risks, including currency and interest rate fluctuations, and assist in developing strategies for mitigating those risks.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports 
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with internal policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and recommend improvements to treasury processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other Ad Hoc Tasks: Support in various financial and accounting tasks as needed, including audit support and financial analysis.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in treasury, finance, or accounting roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of financial markets, cash management, and investment strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
