Job Purpose IT Governance Trainee:
As part of the IT Governance team, you participate in the implementation, maintenance and development of a framework that directs and controls the way the IT department operates and aligns with the business strategies and ensures regulatory compliance. This translates into a wide range of activities for the IT Governance team, such as:
- Maintaining BI reports and applications where management can quickly understand how IT is performing against established targets and act based on those insights
- Liaising with many different teams to improve IT processes and the way these interact with related non-IT processes
- Maintaining documentation updated
- Managing communications within IT and organizing IT events
Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements for BI, and assist in its testing, to ensure the data is properly presented
- Participate in ideation workshops where suggestions for process improvements come to life
- Generate content for communications
Key Result Areas: (Key Performance Indicators)
At the end of the internship, you will see that your work has played a part in:
- The improvement of the IT Governance Dashboards, either by the delivery of new functionalities, the automation of data ingestions, or the correction of identified issues
- The publishing of IT Newsletters
- The delivery of IT training sessions
- The improvement of processes, either by making them run smoothly, or by introducing tools to manage them more effectively
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in Engineering / Business Administration / Management or related discipline.
