IT Asset Management & Field Support Intern - EMEA (estagio curricular)

Job Purpose

You will join our Porto Shared Service Center and work closely with our regional IT team to learn the fundamentals of IT Asset Management (ITAM), help maintain the integrity of our regional asset database in ServiceNow, and provide first-level technical support to local users in EMEA. This is an excellent launchpad for a student looking to start a career in IT Infrastructure and Operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • IT Asset Management (primary focus);
  • Support the lifecycle management of IT assets across the EMEA region, from deployment through retirement and disposal
  • Take part in physical inventories of IT equipment and help reconcile findings against system records.
  • Help investigate and document discrepancies between physical assets and the ServiceNow CMDB, under the guidance of the team.
  • Contribute to keeping asset data accurate and complete: allocation, location, status, warranty, and ownership information.
  • Assist in preparing data for audits and compliance reviews related to IT assets and licensing.
  • Liaise with local site contacts to support timely asset registration and updates.
  • Field Support (secondary focus)
  • Provide first-level (L1) support to end users at the Porto Shared Service Center.
  • Assist with hardware setup, deployment, basic troubleshooting, and decommissioning of end-user devices.
  • Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate teams and follow up through to resolution.

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, and eligible for a curricular internship.
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware, computer components, and operating systems (Windows).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, curious approach to solving problems.
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets; interest in ITSM/ITAM tools such as ServiceNow is a plus (no prior experience required).
  • Fluent in English; Portuguese and other European languages are an advantage.
  • Able to work autonomously on assigned tasks while collaborating with a geographically distributed team.
