Global Business Controlling Analyst

Job Purpose
With global activities organized from our HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, COFCO International is seeking an additional headcount – Business Controlling Analyst – to support finance controlling activities at Central level, such us:
- ZEMA Price Repository, curve creation, onboarding new desks, training and governance.
- Working Capital and Long-Term Capital usage and charges management.
- CAPEX control and reporting.
- Global Independent Price Verification (IPV).
- Support Lenders Pack Preparation – For External Banks 50+.
- SAP BPC Managerial Module developments.
- Support the MTM Policy Global Implementation.
- Other relevant business controlling activities.

Responsabilities
Working closely with a variety of stakeholders, main responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Finance, working closely with Global Controlling, Local Business Unit Controllers & Finance Teams, Global Treasury, Global Consolidation & Reporting and IT Teams:
- Control and manage working capital and long-term capital usage and charges allocation to the business units.
- Manage finance costs interest rate changes in conjunction with Global Treasury.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) Discounting Program.
- Prepare finance costs journals, inclusive, of WC penalties, ensuring accurate booking in CIL’s consolidation system.
- Support financial deck preparations.
CAPEX Control and Reporting, working closely with Global Strategy, Local Business Unit Controllers, Asset Controlling, IT and Project Teams:
- Support reporting system enhancements, proposing new ideas to optimize the controlling and reporting process and ensure testing end-to-end, working closely with IT teams.
- Perform and control budget reallocations, new projects, as per request, ensuring compliance with CAPEX Policy.
- Prepare monthly consolidated report to be delivered to key stakeholders.
- Reconcile monthly CAPEX submissions entered in the tool against CIL’s consolidation system, ensuring that differences are minimized and controlled.
- Actively participate in CAPEX budget submission cycles.
ZEMA Global Price Repository, working closely with Global Controlling, Global Market Risk, Local Business Unit Controllers, Commercial, Pricing and Valuation Teams:
- Perform quality control checks, missing, static and out of range of a defined standard deviation daily for Grains & Oilseeds, Softs, Freight and FX.
- Onboarding of new desks into ZEMA, curve creation, training, governance.
- Supporting on the ZEMA to Trading System interfaces.
- Perform price and valuation analytics, prices with low level of observability, proxy PnL market valuation vs desk valuation daily.
- Support and facilitate interactions between Global and Local Teams.
MTM Policy Implementation Support including:
- Ensuring adequate segregation of the roles and responsibilities, between business controlling, risk and commercial teams.
- MtM Methodologies repository management, support reviews, documentation and incorporating future changes to the methodologies.
- Independent Price Verification (IPV) utilizing external sources to provide assurance on the local prices that are being used for position (MT) valuations.
Support any other relevant topics under business controlling activities scope, inclusive of enhancement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor, postgraduate or master degree in Management, Finance, or other relevant area of studies.
- Up to 5 years of professional experience in similar role.
- Experience working with Assets and MtM valuation, in an international company is a plus.
- Fluent English speaker.
- Very good analytical skills.
- Able to synthesize a big amount of data and information.
- Logical approach to complex problem solving.
- Pro-active nature.
- Thorough with keen attention to detail.
- Articulate communicator.
- Teamwork.
- Responsible, organised, methodical.
- Experience with BI tools is a plus.
