JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for a hands-on Data Platform & Data Quality Manager to lead the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of our enterprise data platform.
This role sits at the intersection of data, delivery, and operations: you will be responsible for ensuring our data is reliable, well-structured, and fit for purpose, while overseeing a small team delivering enhancements to our data platform and data services.
You will focus on data quality, data cleaning, and data consistency across systems, while acting as the owner of our data platform (data lake environment), ensuring stability, usability, and alignment with business needs.
This is an execution-focused role suited to someone who is comfortable working close to the data, coordinating delivery, and improving processes in a pragmatic way.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Data Platform Ownership:
- Own and manage the company’s data platform (data lake environment) as a business-critical application;
- Ensure platform stability, usability, and performance;
- Manage enhancements, priorities, and backlog in collaboration with business stakeholders;
- Act as the main point of contact between business users and technical teams.
2. Data Quality & Data Services:
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems;
- Define and implement data cleaning processes and controls;
- Establish practical data quality checks, monitoring, and KPIs;
- Support the definition of data standards and governance practices (pragmatic, not overly theoretical).
3. Delivery & Project Coordination:
- Oversee the delivery of data-related initiatives and enhancements;
- Coordinate the work of developers, PM, and BA within your team;
- Track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery;
- Maintain clear and simple reporting on progress and priorities.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with business teams to understand data issues and priorities;
- Translate business needs into actionable improvements;
- Provide visibility on data quality topics and platform usage;
- Facilitate alignment between business and IT.
5. Team Leadership:
- Manage and support a small team (developers, PM, BA);
- Ensure clear priorities, good collaboration, and delivery discipline;
- Act as escalation point for data/platform-related issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data, Business, or a related field;
- 5–8 years of experience in data, analytics, or IT delivery roles;
- Experience working with data platforms, data lakes, or analytics environments;
- Proven experience improving data quality or data processes;
- Experience coordinating or leading small teams or projects;
- Good understanding of data structures, data flows, and data quality concepts;
- Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders;
- Strong organizational and coordination skills;
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset;
- Exposure to data governance practices (nice to have);
- Experience in agile or hybrid delivery environments (nice to have);
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
We kindly ask you to submit your CV in English.
