Curricular Internship: Procurement

Job Prupose

Develop competencies across two main pillars: process improvement (purchase manual), and KPI/analytics support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the Procurement function through operational, analytical, and project-based activities linked to the two projects, the update of the purchasing manual, and the monitoring of procurement KPIs.
  • Purchasing Manual: A key responsibility of the trainee will be to support the revision and improvement of the purchasing manual to ensure alignment with current practices and compliance requirements. Activities include:
    1.    Mapping existing procurement processes and identifying gaps or inconsistencies
    2.    Reviewing current procedures, templates, and approval workflows
    3.    Supporting the drafting and formatting of updated procurement procedures
    4.    Consolidating feedback from stakeholders and integrating it into the manual
    5.    Ensuring documentation is clear, structured, and aligned with internal controls
    6.    Supporting communication and rollout of updated guidelines internally

 

  • Procurement KPI: The trainee will assist in monitoring procurement performance and strengthening KPI reporting. Responsibilities include:
    1.    Collecting and consolidating procurement data (spend, savings, supplier performance, lead times, compliance)
    2.    Updating KPI dashboards and tracking tools
    3.    Supporting monthly procurement reporting and analysis
    4.    Verifying data accuracy and identifying discrepancies
    5.    Preparing summary reports and presentations for management review
    6.    Supporting the alignment of KPIs with the objectives of the two procurement-related projects

 

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (mandatory)
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
  • ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Basic process‑mapping techniques (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts)
  • Ability to interpret spend data and categorize suppliers
  • KPI interpretation: cost savings, compliance, lead time, supplier performance
  • Ability to extract insights and trends from large datasets
  • Clear written communication for procedure drafting
  • Stakeholder management and relationship‑building
  • Structured thinking and organization
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities
  • Proactiveness and initiative-taking
  • Collaboration across regions and time zones
  • Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Power Automate basics (nice‑to‑have for workflow improvements)
