Accounting Analyst

Job description: Responsible for assisting on month end process and internal controls implementation.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Assist with the planning  and execution of  Internal Controls process to ensure compliance
• Review and support Balance sheet Integrity
• Daily journal entries and sales reporting
• Assist on positions follow up and reconciliation against Trader Position
• Ensure integrity of information in the systems (Position, Delivery Period, prices)
• Assist on month-end closing procedures including:
  • Prepare journal entries to accrue inventory, derivatives, receivables, and payables
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Validate Open positions (Mark to Market) by business UNIT
  • Reconcile Realized PNL by business unit
• Preparation of information for financial statements and ad-hoc reports
• Accuracy and timeliness of the reports
• Assist in internal and external audits

Experience and competencies

• Public Accountant or Advanced Student
• Fluent in English (both oral and written)
• Knowledge in Portuguese preferred
• Proficiency in Excel
• At least 3 years of experience in a large multinational company
• Analytical skills with detail orientation
• Eager to learn with a can-do attitude
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and use of Power BI is a plus
