Trade Assistant

The Trading Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our grain business. Located in our Mexico City office, the position will provide increasing levels of responsibility and the opportunity to gain exposure to management, including the Controller, General Manager, Operations Managers and other department managers. This position is responsible for executing and managing the contract life cycle process of our Mexican Import, export and domestic business. The position contains a high potential for growth and requires an individual that will take initiative and be a self-starter.

 

Principal Accountabilities:
• Respond to all customer inquiries

• Respond all internal TBO questions
• Responsible of the onboarding process for new trading counterparties (consumers and sellers)
• Support trading team to accomplish with Trade life-cycle policy.

• Monitoring electronic trade flows
• Creation of contracts, management/filing of signed contracts 
• Ensuring accurate trade capture of all executed transactions; providing trade confirmations to corporate 

• Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies with respect to trade execution 
• Management of contracts and regular review with trade 
• Facilitate the production of accurate documentation as required

• Coordinate with counterparties and vendors to ensure timely/accurate information
• Answering questions from internal stakeholders related to contracts


Required Qualifications:

• 0-2 years clerical or customer service experience
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills

• Self-motivation and high accountability with ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where quick decision making and managing of multiple priorities is required
• Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in accounting and/or business administration a plus

• Strong mathematical and analytical ability
• Ability to work closely with a high-performing team
