Job Purpose: 

In our Centre of Excellence, the Trading Back Office team helps ensure the smooth and accurate processing of transactions by working within a centralized operating model, applying strong controls, and performing reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. This position focuses on the physical commodities and their daily review i.e. the daily reconciliation between trade data captured in Trading Systems and broker/counterparty confirmations. The position offers the opportunity for the candidate to explore the intricacies of the commodity market and gain insights into its unique characteristics.

Responsibilities:

Trade Confirmation:

  • Daily reconciliations of broker/counterparty documents and trading system transactions (commodities trades)
  • Daily reporting of breaks to the Business
  • Daily interaction with trading peers to resolve issues
  • Daily review of issues requiring an escalation

 

Measure and report adherence to internal policies:

  • Produce weekly reports of pending issues
  • Report and escalate non adherence to internal policies

Key Result Areas:

  1. Compliance with CIL processes and procedures.
  2. Timely delivery of daily reports
  3. All trades timely and accurately controlled
  4. Breaks identified and resolved on time

Education & Qualifications:

  • High School/graduate
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Experience:

  • Entry Level Position
