HR Manager Centre of Excellence

Location: 

Leça do Balio, Matosinhos, Porto, PT

The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function in the Centre of Excellence in Porto.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department, applies HR best practices.
  • Participates and contributes to Global HR initiatives across the board and implement in the Porto Centre of Excellence.
  • Works directly with managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities, improve work relationships and retention.
  • Performance Management and Goal Definition processes.
  • Contributes to talent identification, development and management.
  • Annual Budget Process for Porto and Barcelona office
  • Supports management in the annual compensation and benefits review preparation and administration of the organization’s compensation program.
  • Conducts salary surveys and develops salary budget, analyses compensation.
  • Manages international assignments: assignment contracts, compensation, tax/SS and legal requirements.
  • Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.

  • Salary Review Process
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports, maintains the human resources information system.
  • Oversees payroll administration.
  • Coordinates onboarding & offboarding processes
  • Executes corporate policies and procedures.
  • Creates a high performing and engaged culture within teams and actively monitor the organisational climate and engagement.
  • Ensures compliance with all employment laws.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate and local policies.

 

What does it take to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Law or Occupational Psychology.
  • 8 to 10 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Very good understanding of Comp & Ben practises
  • Experience with high paced environment
  • Experience with Shared Service Centre’s
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Highly commercial;
  • Energetic self-starter;
  • Adapted to high pressure and able to manage in volatile enviroment;
  • High level of intercultural awareness;
  • Service-minded;
  • Detail oriented,
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and a hands-on approach.
