Job Purpose
The Data & Systems Analyst will be tasked with the monitoring and assessment of data in the Credit risk management system and drives through technical innovation the efficiency of the global team. The analyst is a self-starter with a positive personality committed to collaborating with our senior management, build trusted partnerships and deliver relevant solutions. The analyst will also be a leader in the automation of dataflows and reporting of the Credit risk department and various subprojects covering data management, reporting framework, automation of tasks amongst others.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor consolidated Credit risk exposure and the credit risk activity within the credit risk system.
  • Manage and monitor the data feeds into the credit risk system and identify, document, and resolve data errors.
  • Making sure that credit risk data and internal/external credit risk reporting are accurate and compliant.
  • Enhance data integrity, processing and reporting through IT and Development skills.
  • Manage ad hoc data requirements and reporting.
  • Manage various data and system transition projects for Credit Risk.
  • Provide analytical support to other analysts in the Credit Risk team.
  • Translating business and reporting requirements into credit risk system design.
  • Admin support and key contact for the Credit risk system for all local users. 
  • To become a strong partner to other support functions and the global Credit Risk team. To actively generate connections to facilitate partnership and collaboration.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of existing processes and Controls.
  • Strengthen COFCO International Credit Department by presenting added value solutions to facilitate business.
  • To support the risk department on projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in credit risk reporting as well as data interrogation at trading companies, banks, or insurance companies preferably with exposure to Agribusiness or Energy business.  
  • Degree in (Software) Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or similar. With proven experience in working with data-oriented development and solid programming foundation.
  • Language Proficiency: English, Portuguese. Spanish and Mandarin are plus.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis languages including SQL, Python and data visualization tools (Qlik Sense is a plus).
  • Adept at queries, reporting tools and presenting findings.
  • Capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.
  • Good understanding of data pipelines and data warehouse.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert Influence without direct authority.
  • Self-starter.
  • Familiarity with advanced credit risk measures such as PFE and CVA are plus.
  • Knowledge on Git is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
