JOB PURPOSE:
The role of the IT Service Delivery Engineer (for applications) is to ensure, through specific activities, the implementation, enhancement, support, and maintenance of all IT applications across organization in Central Europe (Romania - headquarters, silos and port terminal; Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia). Will support the local IT applications, participate in IT projects, and establish a strong collaboration relationship with internal clients. The actions taken by this role will be solid integrated within CE region and globally.
The holder of the role will be a hard-working professional able to work diligently with tight and recurrent deadlines. This person will be comfortable with working in a developing environment, implementing all applicable policies and procedures, building up new connections with clients and identify new effective ways to achieve better results.
RESPONSABILITIES:
Regular:
- Understand the company’s IT strategy as well as the specific needs of different departments and elements of the business as they apply to IT environment;
- Evaluate COFCO International – Central Europe’s (local team) needs, determine the project planning and schedule & prioritize all activities and milestones;
- Coordinate and develop the FIT-GAP analysis, by mapping all processes involved and identify the customization needs/workarounds;
- Lead the communication with the developer and local COFCO International – Central Europe team, as well as with various audiences within all levels of the project;
- Ensure proper integration with other applications such as Online Banking systems, weighbridge system, SAP (accounting software);
- Change management activities and organize the user support/training activities as well as regular refresher sessions on systems utilization, user manuals and any other tools ad documentations that are appropriate for user awareness;
- Understand COFCO International budgeting and reporting process and engage with relevant stakeholders regarding budgeting and control over IT Applications spendings in Central Europe;
- Plan and coordinates activities to mitigate risks associated with regional IT Applications used in Central Europe including security, lifecycle and vendor-related risks.
Application Support & Operations:
- Manage to resolution all major or high priority incidents;
- Responsible for continuous improvement & problem management initiatives to reduce recurrent issues;
- Ensure the knowledge base and other documentation is kept up to date;
- Specific reporting requirements related to IT Applications;
- Involvement and implementation of global IT initiatives, inside CE Region;
- Constant liaison with global IT support functions.
General/Compliance:
- Performs any other duties as instructed by direct manager or senior management, relevant to the position;
- Adheres to COFCO values, guidelines and procedures, as well as to internally developed policies and workflows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University Education in IT;
- Additional IT certification is a plus;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT applications in a multi-national company;
- Any experience with working in an ERP is a plus;
- MS Office advanced knowledge;

- Nimble LEAN thinking to drive change that enables efficiencies and drives growth;
- Client* focus (*internal /external stakeholders) - strong client orientation mainly towards in-house customers; understands and responds appropriately to clients’ needs; works to deliver high quality product /service to clients; gain trust and build long-term relationships;
- Analytical abilities;
- Travel availability mainly in Romania and limited in the other countries of Central Europe - approx. 50% of time;
- Driving license – B category - mandatory;
- English fluent speaker; Romanian native.
