Financial Reporting Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Statement Preparation:
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and PRC GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with both international and local regulatory requirements.
2. Regulatory Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for submission to relevant regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet both IFRS and PRC standards.
3. Technical Accounting Support:
- Provide advanced accounting support to local accounting teams to ensure smooth closing of company accounts.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
4. Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze complex financial data and trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive variance analyses and explain differences between actuals.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Develop, implement, and maintain advanced financial reporting systems and tools.
6. Sustainable Accounting:
- Collaborate with the ESG team to develop non-financial KPIs, optimize/establish processes, and perform data collection, verification, and consolidation for sustainability reporting.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting regulations and standards, such as the EU CSRD.
7. Integrated Sustainability Reporting:
- Calculate impacts, risks, and opportunities related to ESG, climate change, and energy transition, reflecting these in financial accounts with necessary disclosures.
- Work with external auditors to provide assurance on financial and non-financial data during quarterly and annual closing processes.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, with a strong focus on IFRS and PRC GAAP.
- Extensive experience with regulatory reporting and compliance in both international and PRC contexts.
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (e.g., SAP, BPC).
- Deep understanding of IFRS, PRC GAAP, and related regulatory requirements.
4. Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
