Senior IT Project Manager

Job purpose

As a Senior Project Manager – Data, AI & Digital Transformation Lead, you will spearhead initiatives that drive data modernization, AI adoption, and enterprise-wide digital transformation. Acting as a trusted partner to the business, you will be accountable for delivering measurable business value and identifying opportunities to leverage AI-driven insights and digital technologies to accelerate innovation and efficiency.

You will combine expertise in business analysis and technical project oversight to lead interdependent programs—spanning data lakes, business intelligence, AI platforms, and digital transformation roadmaps—to successful go-live, ensuring quality standards and tangible business benefits. You will champion the integration of AI and automation into core processes, foster a culture of digital-first thinking, and enable the organization to adapt to emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI and digital transformation programs, ensuring alignment with business strategy and measurable outcomes;
• Drive project initiation and planning activities, establishing a strong foundation for execution;
• Coach and mentor a small team of project managers to achieve program goals collaboratively;
• Develop clear objectives and prioritize projects that maximize data, AI, and digital value creation;
• Monitor milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely and quality delivery;
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to secure alignment and informed decision-making;
• Control scope, schedule, and budget while delivering AI-enabled and digitally transformative solutions;
• Perform risk assessments, including those related to AI adoption, cybersecurity, and digital change management, and develop mitigation plans;
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and governance standards;
• Coordinate across teams to remove bottlenecks and accelerate the delivery of data, AI, and digital initiatives.
   

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering transformational projects, including AI, data modernization, and digital transformation programs.
• Proven track record in managing projects in complex, multinational environments.
• Experience in commodity companies preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts, digital transformation frameworks, data governance, and ethical AI practices.
• Problem-solving and decision-making mindset.
• Ability to manage diverse profiles and convert interactions into actionable contributions.
• Outstanding communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Organizational excellence and attention to detail.
• Ability to motivate and inspire teams toward AI-driven and digital-first innovation.
