Senior Project Manager - SAP Lead

JOB PURPOSE:

As the Senior Project Manager – SAP Lead, you will play a key role in driving our global SAP transformation agenda. Reporting directly to the Global Head of IT Transformation, you will have end‑to‑end accountability for the successful delivery of high‑impact SAP initiatives across multiple countries and regions.

Acting as a trusted IT partner to senior business stakeholders, you will lead complex SAP rollouts and enhancements while safeguarding the integrity of our SAP Global Template. This role combines hands‑on delivery leadership with strategic influence, offering high visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape how SAP supports our global business.

You will work within a mature project management environment, supported by established frameworks, tools, and metrics, while actively contributing to the evolution of our SAP delivery model and best practices.

 

RESPONSABILITIES:

SAP Delivery & Program Leadership:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end planning and execution of SAP rollouts and enhancements across multiple countries and modules (e.g. FICO, MDG, GRC).
  • Own delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and go‑live readiness in alignment with the SAP Global Template and overall transformation roadmap.
  • Ensure consistent application of program methodologies, quality standards, and governance processes.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary IT partner for business leadership, country organizations, and functional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Steering Committee meetings, manage senior stakeholder expectations, and drive timely decision‑making.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, executable delivery plans while managing scope, priorities, and tradeoffs.

Financial, Risk & Vendor Management:

  • Own project budgets and forecasts, tracking expenditures and resource allocation across country deployments.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, issues, assumptions, and inter‑dependencies.
  • Manage and coordinate external vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners as required.

Change Management & Adoption:

  • Lead change management activities, including communication planning, user engagement, and training coordination.
  • Ensure smooth transition to Application Management Services (AMS) and support teams post‑go‑live to enable stable operations and adoption.

Template Governance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Document business requirements and manage approved deviations from the SAP Global Template where necessary.
  • Track functional and technical requirements through delivery in close collaboration with SAP functional leads.
  • Capture lessons learned and contributed to the continuous improvement of SAP delivery methodologies and best practices.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Build, lead, and motivate cross‑functional, multi‑country delivery teams comprising internal resources and external partners.
  • Foster strong collaboration across IT, finance, procurement, compliance, and other business functions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading complex SAP implementation or rollout projects in multinational environments.
  • Strong SAP functional exposure across areas such as finance, procurement, compliance, security, master data, or treasury.
  • Experience working with global templates, distributed delivery teams, and external system integrators.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory).
