JOB PURPOSE:
As Senior Project Manager – SAP Lead, you will drive the successful delivery of strategic SAP projects, reporting to the Global Head of IT Transformation. Acting as a trusted IT partner to business leadership, you will be accountable for end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment with our SAP Global Template and delivering measurable value to the organization. You will leverage your expertise in SAP delivery, business partnership, and functional knowledge to lead complex rollouts and enhancements across multiple regions and modules (e.g., FICO, MDG, GRC). You will also benefit from organizational best practices in project management, supported by established frameworks, tools, and metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the planning, organization, and management of SAP deployment projects, ensuring alignment with program vision, methodologies, and the SAP Global Template;
- Coordinate project teams (dedicated and part-time), collaborating with internal/external resources, local business units, finance, procurement, country controllers, and stakeholders to align rollout objectives and timelines;
- Oversee project budgets, manage expenditures, and track resource allocations for each country rollout;
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies;
- Supervise different tasks to successfully complete the project, overcoming the unexpected challenges that may arise on the way;
- Serve as the primary conduit for project requirements between business and IT teams, facilitating Steering Committee meetings and stakeholder engagement;
- Deliver accurate, timely project status reports and regular updates to leadership and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle;
- Lead change management activities, including user training, communication plans, and stakeholder buy-in for new SAP functionalities;
- Document project requirements, and particularly the potential variations from our global template design (if required) with inputs from the project functional consulting leads. Track these requirements through to delivery of the approved technical and non-technical solutions;
- Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of in-house delivery methodologies by capturing lessons learned and promoting SAP best practices;
- Coordinate with AMS (Application Management Services) and other support teams for smooth transitions and ongoing support;
- Work closely with IT, finance, procurement, and other functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of SAP solutions; liaise with external vendors and consultants as needed;
- Travel occasionally to international deployment sites and delivery centers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or related field;
- PMP certification or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing SAP implementation projects in complex, multinational environments;
- Extensive SAP knowledge including functional elements like treasury, compliance, security, finance, procurement, master data;
- Experience with major consulting organizations preferred;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Analytical mindset;
- Experience in risk management and project controlling;
- Good knowledge of industry standard SAP project tools and methods;
- Fluent in English.
