Execution & Operations Assistant - West Africa

Job Purpose:


Support the smooth execution of cotton export operations from West African origins by coordinating logistics, shipping documentation, contract follow-up, and communication between FOB suppliers and Singapore/India execution and trading teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate all operational activities related to cotton shipments from origin to destination.
  • Liaise daily with FOB suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal operations teams (Singapore/India) to ensure timely execution.
  • Follow up on contract execution, shipment schedules, and documentation timelines.
  • Manage and track shipping documents (BL, invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary, fumigation, etc.).
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders for booking, trucking, vessel schedules, and container allocations.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of documents to meet contractual and LC requirements.
  • Maintain shipment trackers and execution reports for internal teams.
  • Escalate operational issues proactively to relevant stakeholders to avoid delays.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commodity logistics or trade operations or other.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Travel if necessary within the region
